Tattoo AFtercare

• Leave second skin on for 3-5 days. During this period you may see blood and plasma rest inside the bandage. This is gross but normal! The blood and plasma staying within the boundary of the bandage is safe. If the blood and plasma leaks from the bandage remove the bandage with hot water.

• Remove the bandage with warm water. Shower in warm water and peel off the corner of the bandage. The bandage will work much like command tape. Pull towards the body allowing the adhesive to release. Wash with non scented soap using small circle hand motions.

• Lather with antibacterial soap, wash in small circles, do not scrub, then rinse.

• Allow tattoo to air dry and apply a thin layer of ointment to the tattooed area.There should be no ointment left on the skin.

• Repeat process 3-4 times a day for three days.

• After 3 days switch to a fragrance free lotion such as lubriderm. Tattoo may be itchy and flaky. DO NOT SCRATCH. DO NOT SOAK in bath, swim in salt, fresh, or chlorinated water.

• DO NOT expose to direct sunlight for 2 weeks.

• AFTER 2 weeks SPF 40 if exposed to sunlight. Please keep your skin and tattoo safe!
